Storytelling plays an important role in education and literacy. Through the Art of Storytelling Camps, children ages 8-12 get a head start in learning storytelling techniques and how to tell a good story. The Library System has offered Storytelling Camps during the spring break holiday at several branches throughout the community. This unique type of camp not only gave children the opportunity to hear stories, but it also lent them the chance to become storytellers themselves. Graduates of the camp performed for audiences during the International Festival Day held on May 2nd, 2009
