The Miami-Dade Public Library System continues to grow! By the end of 2009, two new libraries will open in neighborhoods throughout the community bringing library services and access to residents. See how we are growing and improving for you!
On Friday, July 24, a groundbreaking ceremony for the future Arcola Lakes Branch Library was held. The library will occupy two acres of a 9.25 acre parcel that will also house a Miami-Dade Police Station and a Community Action Agency Headstart facility. The 9,670-square-foot branch is budgeted at a construction cost of $2.3 million and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2011.
