Little River Branch Library opened its doors on June 17, 1942. The branch was renovated in 1993. Little River is located at 160 NE 79 Street in the heart of the Haitian community. Little River is a spacious (6,584 square feet) library divided into adult and children's areas.
In addition to books, which reflect the interests of the surrounding community, Little River offers free programs for both adults and children. Adult programs include movies, senior computer literacy, and music. A large number of children utilize library resources each afternoon and Saturdays. Childrens programs include storytelling, crafts, book discussion, and homework help. Little River Branch also has access to the latest technology, such as Internet, Microsoft Word and many other electronic resources.
