The Children's Department contains special books for toddlers, picture books for pre-school children, readers for beginning elementary children, and fiction and nonfiction books for school-age students.

Staff in this department provide storytelling, puppet shows, summer reading activities and other programs designed to attract youth to books and libraries.

Teachers are encouraged to make reservations for class visits and tours.
