Miami Springs Branch
After extensive renovations, the Miami Springs Branch reopened in March 2011. Renovations include the installation of a new roof, a new air conditioning system and a complete redesign of public areas. The branch has more open spaces and more windows to let in the natural light. Hurricane impact windows were installed and new ADA compliant restrooms have been completed. The parking lot has also been expanded and includes new lighting. Both the interior and exterior of the building has been painted and new terrazzo tile floors line the floors. There are eight public computer stations, 10 laptops available for checkout and self checkout machines. The branch is also equipped with a Reading Ready Early Literacy Center and contains interactive play-to-learn resources as well as designated areas for teens and adults.
