MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM LAUNCHES - WILD ABOUT READING - SUMMER READING PROGRAM
MIAMI, JUNE 17, 2008 – It was fun and games on Saturday, June 14, as the The Miami-Dade Public Library System and the Miami Dolphins Foundation launched the Wild About Reading Summer Reading Program at all branch libraries. Visitors had the chance to learn about the many resources available at the library and the variety of programs planned for the summer.
Over 100 children and their parents participated in various activities at the Miami Lakes Branch where Miami Dolphins cheerleaders signed autographs and children had the chance to vie for prizes in a number of games. The summer reading program runs through August 2nd, and children and teens, 18 and under, can enter for a chance to win prizes including laptop computers and a jersey signed by Dolphins player Ronnie Brown.
