CELEBRATE THE PANCOAST FAMILY LEGACY AT THE MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARY
(Miami, January 20, 2009) – The community is invited to celebrate the 40th anniversary of ceramist Kay Pancoast’s Coral Gables Mural, a permanent installation at the Coral Gables Branch Library. A reception to honor the lives and works of the Pancoast family will be held on Thursday, February 26, from 6 – 8:30 pm. at the Coral Gables Branch Library – 3443 Segovia Street.
The Pancoast Family Legacy – Celebrating a Tradition exhibition pays homage to the late Kay, Lester and Russell T. Pancoast, as well as Marty Crafton and the late architect Wray Succop. The exhibition will include handmade ceramic tiles, watercolors, paintings and architectural renderings, as well as a collaborative ceramic mural, by students from the Coral Gables War Memorial, created specifically for the occasion.
