MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM INVITES THE PUBLIC TO ITS “GO GREEN” FAIR!
Learn ways to go green, enjoy performances and volunteer for Baynanza
(MIAMI, March 10, 2009) The Miami-Dade Public Library System invites the public to its first-ever “Go Green” Fair at the Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22 Street on Saturday, March 21, 2009 from 10 am – 4 pm. Leadership Miami Executive Committee,The free event features arts & crafts activity with Venezuelan, eco-artist Edwin Villasmil; an eco-centered production by the Fantasy Theater Factory; and learn ways to go green in your home and workplace.
During the fair, the Miami-Dade County Department of Environmental Resource Management (DERM) will register volunteers for its annual Baynanza cleanup. Be a part of the thousands of volunteers who are taking part in the largest shoreline cleanup in South Florida. Baynanza takes place on Saturday, April 18 in 29 sites throughout Miami-Dade County.
As the visitors make their way through the assortment of resources tables, they will have the opportunity to take the green pledge and commit to changing at least one thing in their home or work that will help the environment.
