Miami-Dade Public Library System Offers Summer Reading Fun for everyone! -Children, Teens and Adults are invited to participate-
(MIAMI, June 2, 2009) – Get ready for a fun-filled summer as the Miami-Dade Public Library System presents its Summer Reading Program for the entire family. Starting June 13, through July 25, children, teens and adults are encouraged to read and participate in weekly challenges for a chance to win great prizes.
The Summer Reading Program is divided into categories for children 12 and under, teens 13-18, and adults 18 and older. It offers a variety of activities and special events to keep families entertained and informed. Children and teens who read, or toddlers who are read to, for four or more hours each week can enter the weekly prize drawing for free admission to Miami Metrozoo, Miami Seaquarium and a host of other attractions. For adults, the weekly challenge is to read and complete a set of activities, such as downloading an e-book, or participating in a book discussion group.
At the end of the program all participants will have the chance of winning a grand prize in each category. Prizes include laptops, i-Pods, a $100 gift certificate from Books & Books, a VIP visit to the Miami Dolphins training camp, Dolphins pre-season game tickets, and a VIP book bag.
The Summer Reading Program is sponsored by the Miami Dolphins Foundation. For complete rules, visit your nearest library or call 305-375-BOOK (2665).
