MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARY ADDS ONLINE SPANISH LEARNING WITH “DISCOVER SPANISH” An award-winning Spanish learning system that is fast, fun, easy and effective
The Miami-Dade Public Library System (MDPLS) has added Discover Spanish, an award-winning interactive language learning system to its online database collection. With 400 million people speaking Spanish in 30 countries around the world and more than 40 million Hispanics in the U.S., Spanish continues to be the most popular foreign language to learn in this country.
Library users can now learn the basics of Spanish, online and for free, just by using their MDPLS library card. Whether it’s to travel to a Spanish-speaking country, to help students with their Spanish studies in school, or to get ahead in the job market, Discover Spanish will help library patrons to meet their goals for learning Spanish. The program includes accompanying podcasts for “learning on the go.”
