BANNED BOOKS WEEK: CELEBRATING THE FREEDOM TO READ AT MIAMI-DADE PUBLIC LIBRARIES September 26−October 3
The Miami-Dade Public Library System is celebrating Banned Books Week: Celebrating the Freedom to Read from September 26 – October 3 at all 48 branch libraries. Patrons – of all ages - are invited to celebrate the freedom to read during the Banned Books Week READ OUT! – a continuous reading of banned/challenged books, at the following branches:

According to the American Library Association’s Office of Intellectual Freedom, for each challenged book reported there are four or five that go unreported. From classics to recently published, there are many popular books and authors on the list. During the week of September 26 - October 3, the Library System will have these and many other challenged books available for you to read. Celebrate your freedom by checking them out.
