In celebration of Black History Month, the Miami-Dade Public Library System held its 3rd Annual Teen Photography Contest. Young adults, 12-19, were invited to photograph an aspect of African American architecture, art or lifestyle. Nicole Aedo, a student at Hialeah Miami Lakes Senior High, who submitted her entry through the Miami Lakes Branch, was this year’s winner and takes home a Canon PowerShot A480 digital camera, courtesy of Pitman Photo Supply.
