YOUNG ARTISTS INVITED TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS IN LIBRARY'S ANNUAL BOOKMARK CONTEST

The Miami-Dade Public Library System is inviting young artists and designers to enter its annual bookmark contest. This year’s theme is The Miami-Dade Public Library System – A Neighborhood Gem! The contest runs November 1 – 19 and is open to children, ages 6-12 who are encouraged to create a bookmark showing what the library means to them and their families.

Entries will be judged on originality and neatness and the winning bookmark will be printed and distributed throughout all 49 branches. The winner will receive a large basket of art supplies and an autographed football from the Miami Dolphins. All finalists will be recognized at a party to be held at the Main Library, 101 W Flagler Street, on Saturday, December 17.  Contest entry forms are available at all branches or download one here. Final date for submission is November 19.  The Bookmark Contest is presented with the generous support of the Miami Dolphins Foundation and the Friends of the Library.
