-Create and bring a piece of edible art related to books!-

(MIAMI, FEBRUARY 14, 2012) – Children and young adults, ages 10-18, are invited to be a part of the Palmetto Bay Branch Library’s Second Annual Edible Book Festival on Saturday, March 24 at 2 p.m. Entries must refer to a scene or character from a book; look like a book, or be the pun of a book title - the only requirement is that the submission be edible! Get inspired by your favorite book, author, cover art or character - comics and manga too – and create an edible display. The Edible Book Festival is a celebration of the ingestion of culture and a way to concretely share a book!

Entry forms are available at the branch or online here and must be completed and returned by Saturday, March 10.  Edible entries must be received at the branch on Saturday, March 24 between the hours of 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. No late entries will be accepted. Judging begins at 2 p.m.
