Ask a Librarian is administered by the Tampa Bay Library Consortium, and provides Florida residents with virtual reference services through live chat and text messaging from 10 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday (ET), and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday (ET).
With a valid library card patrons can request books, articles and audiovisual materials from a vast network of libraries – a $5 fee applies for every filled request.

The Museum Pass offers patrons FREE admission for a family of four to enjoy art, culture, entertainment and so much more!
Connections loans library materials by mail to individuals of all ages who are unable to visit the library in person due to disabilities or conditions of aging. Library materials include regular and large print books, foreign language books, movies, audiobooks and music.
The Talking Books Library loans audio and Braille books and magazines, along with a player, FREE by mail to persons who have difficulty reading or using printed books and other materials because of blindness, or visual, physical or reading disabilities.
Jump Start is an early literacy service of the Miami‑Dade Public Library System that offers storytime experiences for babies, toddlers and preschoolers outside of the library.
Project L.E.A.D. (Literacy for Every Adult in Dade) is an adult literacy program designed to assist English‑speaking adults who are functionally illiterate.
