To celebrate Earth Day, YOUmake Miami and Girls Scouts of Tropical Florida will highlight the benefits of preserving and restoring South Florida's mangrove forests. Learn why mangroves are important and join us in sewing fabric mangrove leaves. Gather your materials and help celebrate nature with us! Space is limited for this online event. Registration is required. Zoom link will be emailed to registrants within 24 hours of the event start time. Ages 10 yrs.+
Materials needed:
• Scraps of fabric (recycled preferably)
• Sewing or embroidery thread
• Sewing Machine
• Hand sewing needles (if you do not have a sewing machine)
• Pencil or marker
• Leaf stencil (will be emailed prior to event)
• Cutting tool
