With the new school year underway, it's the perfect time for students to get a library card. It can help them and their families save time and money, and give them access to the resources they need at the library and online to compete academically and achieve academic success.
If you already have a MDPLS library card and haven't used it in a while, it's a good time to renew and rediscover all it has to offer. If you know someone who's missing out on all our great services, send them our way to sign up for a library card—today or anytime.
Since 1987, the American Library Association and libraries nationwide have been joining together every September for Library Card Sign‑up Month to mark the beginning of the school year and remind everyone about the benefits of owning a library card.
