Storytime Express is a free early literacy service provided by the Miami‑Dade Public Library System to:

  • Child care centers
  • Licensed preschools
  • Kindergarten centers
  • Members of homeschool organizations
  • Parents

Note: Service is available to those within the Miami‑Dade Public Library System taxing district and the cities of Hialeah, Homestead, North Miami and North Miami Beach through our reciprocal borrowing program.

MDPLS Storytime Express Kits allow educators and parents to enhance their storytimes and create a fun learning environment. Our educational kits serve two age groups: babies/toddlers and preschoolers/kindergarteners.

How to Register

How to Borrow the Kits

  • Contact Storytime Express to request a theme list and kit.
  • Choose from over 80 available themes.
  • Kits will be shipped to your local branch library for pick up.
  • Kits are loaned for 30 days and may be renewed by calling Storytime Express at 305‑375‑4116.

Returning the Kits

Kits may be returned to any branch of the Miami‑Dade Public Library System.
