This interactive family music therapy class, brought to you by United Community Options of Miami, is led by a board-certified music therapist and invites young children and their caregivers to explore music together in a fun, welcoming environment at the Main Miami Library.
The class focuses on creating music through hands-on instrument play, singing familiar and original songs, and moving to music in ways that support motor development, communication, and social engagement. Families will also enjoy books set to music, blending storytelling and song to strengthen early literacy skills such as listening, turn-taking, vocabulary, and sound awareness.
Designed to be inclusive and accessible, this class welcomes children of varying abilities and developmental levels. Caregivers are active participants and will learn simple musical strategies they can use at home to support bonding, learning, and meaningful shared experiences.
No prior music experience is needed. Just bring your child, your curiosity, and your willingness to sing, move, and play together!
