German Expressionist cinema was born out of the angst and upheaval of rapid industrialization, political disorder, and economic collapse in the interwar years. Instead of depicting the physical world, the art focused on the psychological impact of the world around them – the anxiety, despair, and fractured experience of modern life.

Join us each week to see one of the classics of this influential period in film history that still impacts films made today.

Certified teachers meet with small groups of students in one-hour sessions to provide homework help and tutoring in reading, math, and science. Students are encouraged to bring homework material or school assignments for assistance in specific subject areas. This free service is available to all students in grades K-12.
