Join local author Jeanette Gil for a special bilingual storytime featuring her award-winning picture book, "Aloe Vera’s Special Gift" /" El regalo especial de Áloe Vera," in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Children will enjoy an interactive reading, conversation about discovering their own special gifts, and a fun Aloe-themed activity. A book signing will follow the program. Author's biography
Jeanette Gil is an award-winning children’s author, educator, and doctoral candidate in Applied Learning Sciences at the University of Miami. Affectionately known as “Gigi,” she creates stories and learning experiences that encourage children to discover their unique gifts, build confidence, and feel seen, heard, and valued.
Her award-winning picture book, Aloe Vera’s Special Gift, is a heartwarming story of growth, identity, and discovering that what makes us different may become our greatest gift. The book is now available in both English and Spanish. Jeanette is also the founder of Zun Zun Press and creator of the GIGI Method™.
