If joining from home, you will need the materials listed below:

Sink or Swim? (June 17)

  • Baking soda
  • Different small objects (e.g. coins, small toys, grapes, raisins)
  • 5 clear cups full of water
  • Salt 
  • Sugar

Ocean Layers Activity (July 15)

  • Large glass jar 30 oz. or bigger (mason jars work well)
  • Vegetable oil
  • Dishwashing soap
  • Light corn syrup
  • Water
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Black, blue and dark blue food coloring
  • 5 paper cups
  • 5 plastic spoons

Ocean Slime (July 29)

  • 1 (6 oz.) bottle clear glue
  • About ¼ cup warm water
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon contact lens solution (containing boric acid)
  • Blue food coloring
  • Silver glitter
