Like Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Statue of Liberty and 419 other national parks, Biscayne National Park protects a significant part of the American story. In addition to mangrove forest, shallow bay waters, nearly 50 Florida Keys and part of the world's third-longest coral reef, the park holds evidence of 10,000 years of human history.
