Get ready to dance and have fun with children's book author and Latin Grammy Awards nominee, Rita Rosa Ruesga, as she presents her book, Los Mariachis. Bring the whole family and enjoy nursery rhymes, Hispanic folkloric songs, and stories. For children 4 years and over. Program presented in English and Spanish.
Rita Rosa Ruesga is an educator, author, and musical composer for children. She graduated from the National School of Fine Arts in Havana, Cuba. She has received four Latin Grammy Award nominations for her children's music albums. Ruesga has published several children's books with the Scholastic publishing house, two of them won awards at the International Latino Book Awards. She has created various programs to learn a second language at an early age supported by music and literature. Ruesga collaborates with various institutions as a music and literature consultant, as well as a keynote speaker for educators, parents, and families at international events in countries such as Bolivia, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, and Puerto Rico. She is the Co-founder of the Zunzún Children's fest Festival and founder of Pikitin Learning Projects.
