Funeral Services for Jaime Humet to be held Thursday, December 20
Miami, FL, December 18, 2018 – Funeral services for Jaime Humet are scheduled for Thursday, December 20 at 11 a.m.
Jaime was a librarian who worked with the Miami‑Dade Public Library System for 21 years, most recently at the Miami Lakes Branch. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. The 47‑year‑old was shot and killed on December 10 during a robbery attempt as he left a credit union in Miami Gardens. Police are still searching for the killer. There is a $13,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is urged to call Miami‑Dade Crime Stoppers at 305‑471‑TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersmiami.com. You will remain anonymous.
The Humet family would like people to be aware that there are fraudulent GoFundMe and social media posts asking for monetary donations. The family is not asking for any donations, only that you keep them in your prayers.
Please note that the Miami Lakes Branch Library will be closed on December 20 so that Jaime’s colleagues can attend the services and pay their respects to his family.
