The Axis 360 digital content platform will no longer be available through the Library as of October 15, 2021. Axis 360 eBooks and eAudiobooks will be transferred to our OverDrive digital content platform.

The Miami-Dade Public Library System will be transferring eBooks and eAudiobooks previously available through the Axis 360 digital content platform to OverDrive. The move from Axis 360 to OverDrive will make it more convenient for you to access the titles you love all in one place.

The Axis 360 digital content platform will no longer be available through the Library as of October 15, 2021. But don’t worry, you won’t miss out on Axis 360 titles. Axis 360 eBook and eAudiobook titles will be moved to the Library’s OverDrive digital content platform. The transfer will take approximately two weeks. Content previously available through Axis 360 will be accessible on OverDrive beginning November 1, 2021.

OverDrive can be accessed through your browser at mdpls.overdrive.com or by downloading the free Libby, by OverDrive app. To log into OverDrive, simply visit the OverDrive webpage and enter your library card number. If you’re using the Libby, by OverDrive app, find the Miami-Dade Public Library System by name, city or zip code and then add your library card number. You can also enjoy compatible eBooks and eAudiobooks on your Kindle device, Kindle reading app and other digital devices. For more information about using OverDrive, click here.

If you have items checked out on Axis 360 after October 15, 2021, and remain logged in to your Axis 360 account, you will continue to have access to them until their due date. If you are logged out of Axis 360 on October 15 or later, you will not be able to log back in to access your checked out materials.

Though titles from Axis 360 will continue to be available through OverDrive, your current holds cannot be automatically transferred from Axis 360 to OverDrive. Beginning November 1, 2021, you may place a new hold on your items or, if available, check them out again. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage you to email customercare@mdpls.org if you need any assistance.

Your Axis 360 checkout history and wish list items will not automatically transfer to OverDrive. You can see a list of your checkouts by logging in to your library account through the online catalog and you have the reading history feature enabled. You can also see your loan history, if the reading history feature was enabled, through the MDPLS mobile app.
