Looking Back, is a saddle stitch bookbinding workshop that invites participants to bring their own archival paper material, photographs, found materials and objects to create their own hand stitched books. Through the use of incorporating personal materials, participants are encouraged to reflect on 2024 while creating their own handbound books that can serve as vessels and entry points for a fresh start, and new year ahead. This workshop is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, What They Saw: Historical Photobooks by Women Reading Room presented by WOPHA in collaboration with 10x10 Photobooks which features an expansive interpretation of the photobook genre, including classic bound books, portfolios, personal albums, zines, scrapbooks, and unpublished works.
