Author's Biography
Arelis Calkins is a native of the Dominican Republic who immigrated to the United States in 2000 not speaking English or knowing how to drive, Twenty five years later she has written her first of many books, in English to boot. Arelis is a passionate lover of home and family, is not just a mother and wife but also a devoted stepmother. Her love for dogs and nature is profound, earning her the title of a tree hugger. A foodie at heart, Arelis is also a skilled chef who relishes a good glass of red wine. Her interests extend to Reiki, where she is a master, and she finds solace in music, dance, and the tranquility of the ocean. A fervent traveler, she enjoys boating and sunsets at the beach.
