About the Artist
I began drawing before anything else. It was, and still is, my most sincere way of understanding the world. I never took formal drawing classes; I learned by observing, experimenting, and allowing myself to be inspired by artists who sparked my curiosity. Through trial and error, I explored many techniques and styles, all of which are present in this exhibition.
This exhibit brings together my strongest traditional, realistic drawings — the works through which I began to take art more seriously — alongside the evolution of my digital practice, where I gradually discovered my own visual language. Also included are works in acrylic and marker, born from a constant need to explore, experiment, and continue learning.
During my exchange stay at Florida International University, in the course “Storytelling and Character Development,” I took a decisive step forward. For the first time, I created my own characters. The process was no longer about drawing inspiration from what others had done, but about inventing something entirely new — building a world from the ground up, where Serpia and Guiverna emerge as central protagonists.
This exhibition reflects that journey: a process of searching, discovery, and creation.
A story told through drawing — one that reveals who I am as an artist.
