About The Translator:

Abel M. Folgar is a Venezuelan poet of Lebanese and Corsican heritage. He is known for blending literary creativity with cultural commentary, working across poetry, translation, and journalism.

About The Author:

Pedro Medina Leon was born in Lima, Peru, in 1977, he is an award-winning author whose novel Comanche, P.I. — the English translation of El Blues del Comanche — was selected as Best Book of 2025 by the Miami New Times. His novel Varsovia won the 2017 Florida Book Award, and he is the author of the books Mañana no te veré en Miami, Marginal, Tour: una vuelta por la cultura popular de Miami, Miami: mapa cultural (y pop), Americana, La chica más pop de South Beach, Callejeros, Bandidos, and El Blues del Comanche. He is also the editor of the anthologies Viaje One Way, Miami (Un) Plugged, and Noir Tropical. In addition, he is the creator and editor of the cultural website and publishing imprint Suburbano Ediciones.
