About the Author
Neil Goldberg is a Broadway director, theatre producer, creative visionary and emerging new author whose name is synonymous with quality, engaging family entertainment & content. He has been leading & revolutionizing the entertainment landscape for over 3 decades with highly imaginative contemporary circus arts, theatrical & immersive experiences.
POMP, SNOW & CIRQUEumstance™ is his first children’s storybook bringing three new characters to life in an original holiday adventure. Throughout his career, children have been immersed in unique experiences he created for Special Olympics, Parent Magazine, Children’s Miracle Network, Girl Scouts of the USA, Boys & Girls Club of America, hospitals, schools, youth programs & charitable children’s organizations globally.
Neil is CEO and artistic director of Variety Arts Management, Dream Studios and founder of Cirque Productions and the renowned Cirque Dreams entertainment brand. He has designed and produced shows and innovative spectacles for two Super Bowls, the NBA, Disney, Busch Gardens, Six Flags, Miss Universe, NBC, ABC, CBS; Norwegian, Royal Caribbean & Carnival Cruise Lines and Armed Forces Entertainment to honor & entertain service members and their families worldwide. From PBS to MTV his live, diverse & inclusive productions have been broadcast with vast appeal. Casinos & hotels throughout the world have presented Neil’s shows including MGM, Harrah’s, Caesars, Ballys, Mohegan Sun, Trump, Foxwoods, Gaylord, Conrad & Hilton Resorts. He has created & directed shows with the Pittsburgh, Baltimore, New World and National symphonies along with National YoungArts Foundation, Parkinson’s Foundation, American Red Cross, American Heart Association and The American Cancer Society.
Neil received worldwide recognition and critical acclaim for creating & producing Cirque Ingenieux, collaborating on an original score with Golden Globe winner Kitaro & hailed “ingenious” by Variety & “opulent & engaging” by the Washington Post. He produced & directed Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy, the first show of its kind to perform on Broadway at The Broadway Theatre and nominated for an American Theatre Wing Best Costume Design Award with additional companies performing internationally from China to Brazil. The NY Daily News declared "There have only been a handful of shows that have generated an exclamation point as assertive as the ones created and directed by Neil Goldberg.” He imagined, produced & directed Cirque Dreams Holidaze which became one of the most successful touring family holiday stage shows of all time. Chief theater critic and culture columnist for the Chicago Tribune Chris Jones stated “I’ve long admired Goldberg’s work” and the LA Times proclaimed him “A leading theatrical impresario and Circus maven.” In 2018, Cirque Dreams was acquired by Cirque du Soleil.
