Sobre la artista:

Gabriela Serra (ella/ellos) es una artista multidisciplinaria, guardiana certificada del círculo de Justicia Restaurativa y agricultora urbana nacida en Caracas, Venezuela, y actualmente radicada en Miami, Florida y San Juan, Puerto Rico. Su práctica comprende realización cinematográfica, fotografía y facilitación comunitaria (a través de talleres y círculos de apoyo) enfocándose en explorar y regenerar relaciones entre humanos y no humanos, cuerpos y la tierra, y el yo presente con historias ancestrales. Con la comunidad, la familia y los amigos, cocrea espacios y proyectos intergeneracionales en los que se practica y honra la tradición oral en valor por el amor y el cuidado de los vecinos que elaboran alimentos y cuidan los jardines juntos y donde podemos ser vulnerables unos con otros. Aunque su arte es a menudo temporal, las relaciones y conexiones formadas siguen siendo transformadoras

 

Sobre del Vasari Project:

El Proyecto Vasari es una colección de biblioteca dedicada a documentar, recopilar y preservar la historia del arte del condado de Miami-Dade desde 1945 hasta el presente. Es un archivo vivo que crece a través de contribuciones de artistas, profesionales del arte, espacios de exposición, galerías, instituciones y donantes privados.

El Proyecto Vasari es un recurso para investigaciones, becas, publicaciones, proyectos de artistas, exposiciones y eventos en curso. El archivo recopila documentación en lugar de obras de arte originales compuestas principalmente de material impreso: correspondencia, recortes de prensa, fotografías, carteles, libros, catálogos de exposiciones, archivos de artistas, historias orales y otros materiales efímeros.
