Join National Geographic Explorer and wildlife photographer George McKenzie Jr. for a free four-week journey through Florida’s Northern Everglades. Through journal entries, interactive livestreams, and two in-person events at the Westchester Regional Library Health & Wellness Information Center, George will share his conservation work documenting the endangered Florida panther using camera traps and field research. Registration is required. For more information, please contact the library at 786-584-4100 or gonzalezja@mdpls.org.
Participants will explore the intersection of storytelling, science, and technology while gaining insight into how wildlife photography supports conservation efforts and protects Florida’s wild spaces. This engaging, family-friendly series is open to all ages and offers both virtual and in-person opportunities to participate.
This program is made possible by the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library.
