Author's Biography:
Silvia López was born in Cuba and came to Miami as a child. Her love of books led to a long career as children’s librarian and later as author of over fifteen children’s books, mostly bilingual. Her books have received gold medals at the Florida Book Awards, been chosen as Junior Library Guild selections, and earned starred reviews in Booklist and School Library Journal. Four books, including two more with co-author Susan Rose, are scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027. Silvia is a member of Las Musas and We need Diverse Books, as well as co-founder of Bilingual Book Buddies, a podcast series promoting bilingual books for children.
