A relief print is a general term for printmaking techniques in which the printing surface is cut away so that the image alone appears raised on the surface. Relief print techniques include woodcut, linocut, letterpress and rubber stamping. The raised areas of the printing surface are inked using a roller and printed, while the areas that have been cut away do not pick up ink. Everyone will receive the tools needed to create their very own relief print.
