Capybara Art Showcase
Celebrating Biodiversity, Mental Health & Culture
Saturday, June 06
12:00pm - 2:00pm
Join us for a unique art and mental health event featuring capybara-themed sculptures by artist Rossy Valero inspired by the Amazon basin. This special community experience combines artistic expression, biodiversity, emotional wellness, entrepreneurship, and environmental awareness through works highlighting the capybara (chigüiro), the world’s largest rodent and a symbol of ecological balance in South America. For more information, contact the branch at 305-388-0326 or jacobsonf@mdpls.org. All ages welcome.
The event will also feature important conversations with entrepreneurs in art and mental health experts including Saulo García, Paula Dinaro, Manuela Rodriguez, and Juliana Matiz, who will share perspectives on creativity, emotional wellness, entrepreneurship, comedy, healing, and community engagement.
This family-friendly program invites the community to connect through art, education, culture, and meaningful dialogue while celebrating global ecosystems, conservation, and mental wellness.
